Darel Evans

Performance & Vocal Physiotherapist

Darel graduated Bournemouth University in Physiotherapy in 2016. He gained experience with the NHS as a junior physio and specialised in musculoskeletal care as this is his passion. Darel managed the outpatient joint replacement & fracture clinics, as a senior NHS physio whilst working in the spinal injuries and foot and ankle speciality teams.

He then transitioned into private practice to focus on his speciality in the performing arts. Darel’s love for supporting the performing arts comes from his childhood in ballet and tap dancing and his love for movement and the voice. Darel is working with industry professionals and teachers in the UK and Europe, to drive up standards in vocal care, through the amalgamation of clinical and artistic knowledge, pertaining to application of the voice.

He and his team are setting new standards of care for vocal patients, with new assessment & treatment techniques thanks to a deeper understanding of vocal techniques and pedagogy. Darel opened Prehab Performance Specialists in 2020 with the mission to drive up standards of care for the artistic community; educate artists in the care of their voice and body, prolong and improve artistic careers and support our vital creative industry. Darel has a passion for providing a caring and supportive space for his clients and he loves nothing more than empowering patients and to see them shine during their performance.
